Administrative and Communication Assistant

 

The Baltimore Jewish Council is seeking full time Administrative Communications Assistant. Successful candidate is responsible for aid/logistical coordination of multiple Baltimore Jewish Council programs and direct administrative support. Additional duties include developing marketing materials, updating BJC website, donor database maintenance, and telephone call routing. The ideal candidate will be poised and have excellent customer service and communications skills.  Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, knowledge of social networking vehicles and website maintenance required.

PROGRAM DIRECTOR – NONPROFIT EXTENDED CARE RECOVERY FACILITIES

 

Immediate opening for a Program Director to handle the day to day management o f two low intensity residential facilities, including supervision of intake, assessment, treatment planning and case management for 40 residents  and supervision of staff.  Supervision of therapy programs, outreach to inpatient treatment facilities and to the general community.  Candidate must have a Masters in Psychology or related field, LCPC (or equivalent) State of MD Certification in Substance Abuse Counseling, and a minimum of 5 years of experience in supervision.  Familiarity with OCD, Oppositional Defiance, Borderline Personality, Clinical Depression, ADHD and other co-occurring disorders in substance abuse treatment.  Interested candidates should submit resume, cover letter and salary request to:  THE ASSOCIATED: Jewish Community Federation of Baltimore, 101 W. Elijah Cummings Youth Program (ECYP) Director

The ECYP is a two-year leadership development program for high school students designed to build bridges between Baltimore’s diverse communities.  Responsibilities include, but are not limited to, recruitment and selection of participants, planning and coordinating programs, curriculum development, fundraising, board relations, budgeting, and marketing.  Qualified candidates will have fundraising and management experience, knowledge about community relations and inter-ethnic/inter-religious activities, and should have strong understanding of the challenges facing today’s youth.  Ability to manage multiple tasks accurately and professionally, superb leadership skills, and effective oral and written communication skills are required.  Bachelor’s degree is a must.

Senior Development Associate

THE ASSOCIATED: Jewish Community Federation of Baltimore is currently seeking a Senior Development Associate.  Candidate will cultivate and develop planned and major gifts to THE ASSOCIATED.  Responsibilities will include, but are not limited to, the cultivation of philanthropic funds, endowments and major gifts by working with donors, their families and their legal/tax advisors, allowing donors to reach their charitable goals. 

 

Qualified candidate will have a minimum of three years experience in major gift development; planned giving experience a plus.  Must have the ability to communicate effectively both verbally and written with diverse populations.  Knowledge and understanding of Baltimore Jewish community preferred.  Ability to manage multiple tasks accurately and efficiently is a must.  Marketing and presentation skills are also a plus.

“Going Green” Coordinator

 

The Baltimore Jewish Environmental Network, in partnership with Kayam Farm at Pearlstone, is currently seeking a “Going Green” Coordinator.  The coordinator will spearhead a community-wide, synagogue based sustainability campaign that cultivates environmental responsibility in the Baltimore Jewish Community.  The campaign aims to increase energy efficiency, promote bio-sustainable practices and increase overall lay, pro and individual engagement in “Going Green.”

 

Passion for the environment, Jewish culture, calendar, and community are a plus.  Demonstrated ability to build partnerships, experience with public speaking, and excellent writing skills required.  Bachelor’s Degree is required, Master’s Degree is preferred.

EXCITING SUMMER OPPORTUNITY 

Jewish Community Services is seeking a Full Time Summer Clinical Camp Consultant to join the School and Camp team to provide clinical consultation on-site at one of the local day camps.

       Must have excellent assessment and clinical skills

       Knowledge of working with children with special needs is a plus

       Sensitivity and knowledge of Jewish traditions, culture and values is a plus

       Masters degree in related field required

Internships (updated January 15, 2010)

Human Resources Internship Opportunity 

Earn College Credit!! This internship will provide practical job related experience to a college student who has interest in Human Resources (or related) field with an interest in working in the non-profit arena. This internship will take place in the spring and fall semesters.

Due to our steady growth, we have an exciting opportunity for a student intern to assist the Human Resources team in the Baltimore area. Responsibilities will include (but not limited to): 

§  Working under the supervision of the Vice President of Human Resources and Director of Human Resources

§  Assist Benefits Associate with 2010 Health Fair

§  Attend Human Resources Agency wide meetings

§  Assist with mailings and informational pieces to be distributed throughout the agencies

§  Assistance with processing resumes (logging into resume database and sending letters)

§  Represent THE ASSOCIATED’s Human Resources Department on a variety of levels

§  Other duties as assigned
